The cross stitched blocks were given for the specific purpose of making an auction quilt. The quilting design echos the quilt lines of the cross stitched blocks & continues into the neighboring golden/yellow blocks. The pink borders were pieced and added to the 6 cross stitch blocks to make the quilt larger. The quilting in this border area echos some of the design elements of the main quilt. Cross stitch blocks given by Mildred Kalouse. Pieced and machine quilted by Susan Kruse, sandwiched by Susan Kruse and Marge Kramer. Quilt washed once to remove quiltline markings
